NaNo Time!

With only half a month left until the start of NaNoWriMo, I'm sure most of you are outlining, writing lengthy grocery lists for nothing but snacks, and stockpiling coffee like we're about to undergo nuclear warfare.

Me? I have done none of this. As a matter of fact, I haven't given NaNo much thought. I'm still editing/revising a book I finished about a month ago and the idea of writing an entirely new book, only to go through editing/revising yet AGAIN, has my head spinning. What would I do with TWO BOOKS? Guys, that would be like, "Hello. Welcome to Stress House, a home that does not make you feel welcome, where we prescribe nothing for your anxiety. Side effects may include hair loss, diarrhea and the urge to vomit."

That's like telling me chocolate is forbidden and I'll never be able to have anything with caffeine again. Oh dear.

Anyway, I want to know what you guys plan on doing for NaNo, whether you've started planning or if you're even signing up for it this year.

  1. I think you should do NaNo, just for fun! I'm in the middle of a manuscript and submitting another one, and I decided to do NaNo as a stress reliever.. this will be something I can write for fun without worrying about making it perfect. If it ends up being decent, then cool, if not, then cool.

I haven't started outlining it or anything, but I have a vague inkling of what my plot will be.

  2. I'm currently working on a WIP and probably should concentrate on it, but I'm doing NaNo with a new idea anyway. :D

  3. Don't do NaNo if you're not uber keen for it - this is my first time doing it, and I have a feeling you need 100% enthusiasm/dedication to the cause for it. I've outlined the crap out of my planned WIP, but I think it'll all be for nothing once I get started. Sigh.

    :D

  4. I finally decided a few days ago that I'm giving NaNoWriMo another try this year (I failed miserably last year). After spending the past year on and off working on the same novel, I'd love to just try something new and fun. :)
