Teaser Tuesday!

Andrina's been accused of murdering the king (even though she wasn't on the hunting trip with him). His men disapproved of the marriage, and now that the king is gone, they're free to do with Andrina as they please. So, they've tossed her in a prison.

I've been testing out this idea that she writes a journal while she's in there, because there's not much else to write about. It'll just give a brief overview of what living in a prison is like for her, without the unnecessary narrative.

    Wow, this is very well-written. Her voice is so strong in these journal entries. They really jump off the screen. Poor Andrina.

    I think the length of her entries gives this a nice pacing, you can almost feel her pain. It's interesting how other writers handle the journal format and are still able to get the story across without losing the reader. I'll be stalking your blog for inspiration. :)

    Hi Becca! I’m glad to see you teasing.  I really like this concept of using the journal entries. I’d love to see the progression of the entries mirror her state of mind even more closely as she loses hope (maybe even in length).
