Happy Earth Day!

I shouldn't say "happy" in the title because there's nothing happy about the way our planet is falling apart. Guys, this is serious stuff. I know, I know. We hear the scientists and leaders say our ozone layer is getting thinner, but we blow it off. Pffffft. No it's not. We won't lose our air supply.

But, guys, we WILL. If there's no ozone layer, there's no air. And that means we're all dead in Heaven.

So what can I do? you ask. Well, there's plenty of ways to help!! Just yesterday the building I work in added recycling bins downstairs for people to throw cans away. If you don't have something like this in your work place or at home, you should ask for it. Remember, one person can make a difference.
  • Recycle!
Instead of water bottles, buy a water filter for home; it attaches easily to your faucet. And use a reusable water bottle, like these at Lily's blog.
  • Reuse!
Cut down on waste. The more you can save (and don't throw away), the cleaner Earth will be.
  • Reduce!
For more information on how to make our planet a safer (and healthier) place to live, visit the official website for Earth Day 2010. You can also check out these cool Earth Day products.

So how about it, guys? What small role will you play to help save our planet?

I hear you now--what are you going to do, Becca? Well, I'm glad you asked. I was just about to say that I'm taking advantage of those recycling bins downstairs after I load up on my Mtn Dew for the day. :D

  1. I love these Earth Day posts.

In my house, we use washable cloth napkins and compost. There's always more we can do.

  3. I loved this post! We recycle and compost, though I wish we could do more. I'm trying to convince everyone to get solar panels :) And if someone from Normandy reads this, GO SUPPORT THE WINDMILLS! :) They are pretty and they provide us with clean energy.
