Epic (Artistic) Contest!

Recently, I told you guys I'd be holding a contest. Well, it's here.

This isn't a book contest. This is an artistic contest. Naturally, writers see things differently, and we like artsy stuff. Personally, I loved these things when I was a kid. I don't know if any of you have ever tried the hobbies listed below, but they're fun. Could be a fresh start to something new.

MOVING ON!

There will be a first, second and third place winner. The prizes are as follows:

  • FIRST PLACE WINNER will receive a beginner's guide to painting with watercolors. Not only that, but they'll receive a set of brushes and paints, and a watercolor notebook.

  • SECOND PLACE WINNER will receive a beginner's guide to pencil drawing. Plus! You get a drawing and sketching pencil set in a black, zippered carrying case, and a sketchbook.

  • THIRD PLACE WINNER will receive an illuminated lettering kit (aka calligraphy). This kit includes a detailed history on where and how decorative calligraphy originated. Also, a calligraphy mini pen kit, and a calligraphy writing pad.
All three winners will receive these journals (one for each):

Contest begins now and will end on May 1st. I've made it easy by filling out the form below.

+10 points will be awarded to those who post a blog about the contest.
+1 point for every time you Tweet about this contest.

At the end of the contest, I will tally the top three people with the highest scores. Don't forget to stop by and fill out the form each time you Tweet. ;)

Contest is international.

Good luck! :D

ETA: The language got cut off below for the "Link" box, but please include your name. Thanks!

  4. Wow, such an amazing idea. I'm terrible at drawing and painting, but it's always something that I've wanted to work on.
